Imagine being born into a world where your worth is decided before you even take your first breath—a world where the circumstances of your birth write a script of suffering and exclusion you never chose. For little Anita, this was her reality. Born into the so-called lower caste in India, her life was a constant reminder of a prejudice as old as time.
She was only five when tragedy struck. Her mother passed away due to an illness that went untreated, her father, a daily laborer, unable to afford even the most basic medical care. With six children to feed, he struggled to keep them alive. Dreams of education or a better life were unimaginable luxuries.
When she came to our center, she carried the weight of this harsh reality. At first, she couldn’t believe a place without judgment or discrimination could exist. Slowly, she began to heal. Surrounded by love, care, and encouragement, Anita blossomed. Her confidence grew, her dreams found wings, and her belief in herself deepened.
Against all odds, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology—a monumental achievement for a girl who once thought school was a distant dream.
A year ago, Anita began her career as a teacher in a private school. Yesterday, however, marked one of the most magical and memorable moment of our family —Anita got married. She found a partner who cherished her for who she is, a man who sees her not through the lens of caste, but through the lens of love and respect.

As I stood amidst the joy of her wedding ceremony, gratitude enveloped me. Anita radiated happiness and grace, her heart brimming with thankfulness for the life she had reclaimed. And I was deeply grateful—for the universe aligning to make this transformation possible and for the resilience of a girl who dared to defy her fate.
The caste system, though deeply entrenched, is slowly loosening its grip. Education holds the power to dissolve the barriers of the caste system.
Anita’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of education.
In India, education is particularly vital for girls. It not only helps them break free from the cycle of poverty but also equips them to challenge deep-rooted discrimination and prejudice. Educating a girl means empowering a family, uplifting a community, and building a better world.
Let us join hands to ensure that every underprivileged child has access to quality education. Together, we can create a society where every individual is treated with respect, dignity, and equal opportunity.
Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a meaningful 2025! – Ravi Rai Manas
