Our Lucknow Centre
History
The Lucknow property is operated under the patronage of the Northern Railways Women’s Welfare Organisation which is part of the Ministry of Railways (Government of India), and was opened in 2006 as our third centre. As you can see by the photo above, the centre consists of one major building (a former railway’s building) sitting on approx. 2 acres. The buildings were in a very poor state of repair, and much work was needed to make them habitable.
